Pawsitively Love is the serendipitous gathering of a group of animal lovers/professionals from diverse backgrounds (behavioral specialists, medical and ethology students, veterinary technicians, professional handlers) whose lives have been shaped by their dogs, cats and love of pets – all sharing an unwavering devotion to animal welfare and enrichment.
Our Mission is to enrich the lives of dogs and their guardians by providing one-on-one day-to-day tools that facilitate optimal well-being and positive behaviors in all environments (with children and strangers, at home, on the street, in the car and park, etc.).
We provide ongoing personal attention, interaction, and training with every dog we walk and provide care for. This includes
- Interviewing every dog & her human companion to collaborate/design a program tailored to each dog’s natural interests, needs, personality and those of her household.
- Modifying each dog’s program based on changes in behavior and goals.
- Providing a highly structured, consistent, balanced, and communicative environment that reinforces positive experiences.
We believe positive reinforcement training/supervision is the most natural, ethical and effective means to teach and modify behavior. We utilize this methodology and its techniques to:
- identify and reinforce your dogs natural interests and talents
- develop problem solving and learning skills
- exercise mind and body
- reduce stress and anxiety
- increase impulse control
- improve motor skills, coordination, and health
